About me
My eLearning Experience
In my experience as an instructional designer, I have developed multimedia eLearning content for self-paced and instructor-led trainings by utilizing design thinking, agile methodology and ADDIE instructional design model adopting learning design principles, UXDL and brain science principles.
I have planned and delivered virtual programs training small business owners in soft skills. I have working experience with IMC learning suite and LearnDash LMS. multimedia apps like Canva, Genially,IMC and inshot,capcut and Adobe photoshop. I have extensive experience in project management, process improvement and business development.
I however enjoy the process of designing and developing elearning with subject matter experts and stakeholders and ultimately seeing them achieve their business goals through successful predetermined learning outcomes in employees.
In ten years, I see myself leading a business unit in a global e-learning organisation.
Background
My design experience started while running my business in event design of over 14 years. While making spaces aesthetically beautiful and functional was the major object of every project, I also enjoyed using Microsoft Powerpoint and floor plan softwares such as floorsketcher to design my floorplan as well as fliers for social media posts using Canva.
Achieving continual customer satisfaction and generating revenue to sustain my business was once threatened as a result of employees’ performance. Hence, along with other changes, I developed a strategic training programme for employees in soft skills, design and creative skills which led to which increased customer satisfaction by 40% through a significant shortening of setup time and a more efficient collaboration with other vendors. Furthermore, I started an initiative that helps the employees of industry colleagues and emerging business owners to learn creative skills as well as soft skills and digital skills and technology proved to be the sustainable way to serve the growing population of students.
I enjoyed the use of technology to create and manage courses and students and the impact I am making in the live of these individuals led to my transtion to the Education technology industry. I consider myself a lifelong learner hence, I am always striving to further develop my skillset and toolkits through work experience, certifications, online courses, webinars and a Diploma in Digital Learning Design.
Outside of work, I love to cook and spend time watching movies with my family. I sing in my local church and I also love to volunteer in my community to empower young people to become better versions of themselves.
